FAQ’s

Why Choose Online Lessons? How Are They Different from YouTube or In-Person Options?

Online lessons are just like in-person sessions—except we’re not in the same room. You’ll still receive personalized assignments tailored to your specific challenges and goals, along with real-time feedback to help you grow and improve every step of the way.

There are also some unique advantages to learning online. You don’t need to worry about travel or bad weather, and you can still attend lessons even if you're feeling a bit under the weather. As long as you have a solid internet connection, you can study with me from anywhere—perfect for students who travel or relocate for extended periods.

Need to review something during the week? Short videos can be recorded during your lesson for easy reference. And if you can’t make your scheduled time, asynchronous lessons can be arranged so you don’t miss out.

I could go on about the benefits of online learning, but here’s what really sets it apart from YouTube tutorials: real-time feedback, personalized lesson plans based on your progress, and accountability that keeps you motivated and moving forward. You won’t find that in a pre-recorded video!

Will you be providing in-person lessons in the future?

Not at this time. While I may host occasional in-person events and continue to perform live, online lessons are currently the best fit for my life and family. The good news? I absolutely love teaching online and truly believe in its effectiveness!

I'm genuinely excited about the future of online music education. It makes learning more accessible than ever, while still providing the personal connection and the immediate feedback you’d expect from traditional in-person lessons.

What happens when I join the waitlist?

Once I receive your waitlist submission, I’ll respond to any questions you included and let you know right away if I believe another teacher might be a better fit for your needs. Otherwise, when a suitable spot becomes available, I’ll reach out to schedule an interview.

During this call, we’ll go over the details, give you a preview of what online lessons are like, and address any questions—on your end or mine. It’s a great opportunity for both of us to make sure we’re a good fit before moving forward!
